After 30 years of Service, Kokeb is no more in business. Thank you very much for letting us raise our 2 children and the wonderful time. It was always a pleasure and privilege serving you!

We are really going to miss you! Seattle has lost the BEST Ethiopian restaurent around :-( We loved coming over from Bellevue and if you ever decide to come out of retirement PLEASE open up on the Eastside. We wish you all the best and happiness with your family.
Cheers!,

For many years we remember the Kokeb as a place where we could get an excellent meal, and celebrate. We were there for our 30 th wedding anniversary, for my son's 25th birthday and he will never forget the hat and decorations they put on him!
How sad it is closing...I just found the post, while recommending to a friend!

Did you know coffee was first founded in Ethiopia from a province called Kaffa? Coffee celebration is a big part of Ethiopian cuisine. It has a special spiritual meaning.
Cheers!,
